Police Uncover Warehouse Theft, Arrest Two Suspects

The Guna Police have solved the case of stolen tractor batteries from the Seth & Sons firm's warehouse in the industrial area, arresting two accused individuals. The stolen batteries have also been recovered.

This action was carried out by the Cantt Police Station. The incident was reported on July 30, 2026, by the warehouse watchman, Prithviraj Yadav. He stated that unidentified thieves had made off with two tractor batteries from the warehouse on the intervening night of July 29-30. A case was registered under Section 303(2) BNS of the Indian Penal Code at the Cantt Police Station, and an investigation was initiated.

Investigation and Arrests

Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal, and as part of ongoing campaigns to control property-related crimes, a team led by Cantt Police Station in-charge Inspector Anoop Kumar Bhargav began investigating this case. The police advanced the investigation based on information received from informers and technical evidence.

During the investigation, the involvement of Saurabh Sikarwar, a resident of Balwantnagar, and Rahul Kushwaha, a resident of Nazul Colony, came to light. The police took both accused into custody on September 18, 2026. During interrogation, Saurabh and Rahul confessed to the theft.

Stolen Goods Recovered and Judicial Proceedings

Following their confession, the police successfully recovered both tractor batteries stolen from the warehouse based on their information. The accused, Saurabh Sikarwar and Rahul Kushwaha, were presented before the court on September 19, 2026, from where they have been sent to judicial custody.

Several individuals played a crucial role in the successful resolution of this case, including Station Officer Anoop Kumar Bhargav, SI Mithulal Bisoriya, Constables Raju Baghel, Suryabhan Jat, Anshul Raghuwanshi, and Narendra Raghuwanshi. The swift action by the police has provided relief to local traders.

The district administration has clarified that strict legal action will continue against individuals found involved in theft, burglary, and other property-related crimes in the future, to further strengthen security arrangements in the region.
