Grand Flag Hoisting Ceremony Marks 80th Independence Day

On the occasion of the nation's 80th Independence Day, a grand flag-hoisting ceremony was organized at the Jan Shikshan Sansthan in Maksudpur, Etawah on August 15, 2026. The national flag was hoisted with pride within the institute's premises, symbolizing the country's valour, self-respect, and unity.

The ceremony was jointly conducted by the institute's Director, Ravindra Chauhan, and the outgoing Director, Hari Narayan Bajpai. Following the flag hoisting, Director Ravindra Chauhan addressed the assembled officials, staff, and trainees, highlighting the significance of the national flag.

Significance of the Tricolour and National Pledge

He stated that the tricolour is not just a flag, but it guides countrymen on the right path of life and makes them aware of their duties towards the nation.

Explaining the meaning of the flag's colours, he elaborated that the saffron colour represents the nation's strength and courage, while white signifies peace, goodwill, and respect for all religions. Describing the green colour as a symbol of the country's development and prosperity, he identified the Ashoka Chakra as a source of inspiration for continuous progress and diligence.

Director Chauhan further emphasized that the Indian national flag is an excellent example of the nation's rich culture, civilization, unity, and diversity. He called upon everyone to always respect their nation, its glorious traditions, and democratic values.

On this auspicious occasion, all attendees took a firm resolve towards nation-building, sustainable development of the country, promoting social harmony, and upholding national honour. This event, imbued with patriotic fervour, concluded in the dignified presence of all institute officials, staff, and trainees.
