Training Concludes for Women Empowerment Conference in Balrampur

The training program for the 'Daughter-in-Law and Daughter Conference,' aimed at women's empowerment and the protection of their rights, concluded successfully on Tuesday in the Pachpedwa development block of Balrampur. This crucial training ran from August 24, 2026, to September 8, 2026, with the primary objective of creating positive societal change by raising awareness among grassroots workers about women's rights, their safety, and dignity.

The training was jointly organized under the auspices of the Gorakhpur Zone and UNICEF. The training was led by UNICEF Coordinator for the district, Dr. Anil Dwivedi. At the development block level, the training was conducted by Master Trainer and mediator from the District Legal Services Authority, Mohit Kumar Srivastava.

Instructors including Vidya Bharti, Alok Pathak, Sanjeev Kairati, Ramamadi Gautam, Indresh Kumar, Kshama Vaishya, Pramila Pandey, Parul Chaudhary, and Om Prakash shared their expertise and provided valuable information to the participants.

Training Focused on Women's Safety and Dignity

During the training, participants were taught effective methods to work on critical issues such as empowering women, making them aware of their rights, promoting gender equality, and ensuring safety through various activities, intensive group discussions, and practical exercises. The trainers emphasized the immense necessity of sensitivity towards issues concerning women.

Personnel from various sectors, including assistant teachers, panchayat assistants, group sakhis, Asha Bahus, Anganwadi workers, and women constables from the police department, participated in large numbers and with great enthusiasm in this training program.

Goal of Behavior Change and Empowerment

The trainers stressed that the empowerment of daughters-in-law and daughters should not be limited to spreading awareness but should be viewed as a means to bring about behavioral change within families and society. Participants were encouraged to actively implement the knowledge gained in their respective fields.

According to officials, the community plays a vital role in providing a safe and respectful environment for women and girls. Such training enhances the capacity of grassroots workers and ensures that information about government schemes and rights reaches the needy more effectively.
