Traders Voice Concerns Over NH-730C's Deteriorating Condition
Traders in Farrukhabad have voiced their displeasure with the current state of National Highway-730C near the Central Jail intersection. They have submitted a memorandum to the administration demanding urgent repairs to the road, restoration of damaged drain covers along the sides, and improved lighting for nighttime safety.
A delegation of traders, led by Yogesh Gupta, President of the Central Jail Vyapar Mandal, along with General Secretary Dr. Sanjeev Dubey and Youth President Shivam Dubey, met with highway officials. They highlighted the significant difficulties faced by commuters and shopkeepers due to the road's poor condition, inadequate drainage, and lack of proper lighting.
Key Issues and Demands Raised
The memorandum specifically pointed out the perilous condition of the ramp near the Tata showroom in Vijadharpur. Traders stated that this damaged ramp is causing considerable inconvenience to residents of surrounding villages.
Furthermore, there is an urgent call for the immediate replacement of the broken drain covers lining the highway to prevent potential accidents. The traders also expressed serious concerns about the inadequate lighting along the highway at night. Non-functional streetlights in several areas increase the risk of accidents during darkness.
The Vyapar Mandal has urged officials to conduct a site inspection of these critical issues and commence repair work without delay.
Administration Promises Action
The highway authorities acknowledged receipt of the memorandum and assured the traders that their demands would be seriously considered. They pledged to take prompt action to address the problems.
The trading community expressed hope that the administration will prioritize public convenience and safety by taking concrete steps towards resolving these pressing issues.
