A tragic accident occurred in the Chanchowda tehsil of Guna district when a tractor-trolley carrying people for idol immersion into the Parvati River lost control and overturned at a turn in Nawalpur village. A total of eleven individuals sustained injuries in this severe accident.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local administration and police officials immediately initiated relief and rescue operations. All the injured were promptly transported to the Binaganj health center for immediate treatment, where local officials oversaw the medical arrangements.

Trolley Lost Control at Nawalpur Turn

The trolley, carrying devotees from Ajgara village towards the Ghata Khedi ghat of the Parvati River for idol immersion, became uncontrollable at the Nawalpur turn. It is suspected that due to excessive crowd or speed, the trolley lost its balance and overturned on the road.

Those aboard the trolley, heading to participate in the auspicious occasion, were taken aback by the sudden calamity. The accident was followed by cries for help, and nearby residents rushed to provide assistance. Thanks to the swift action of the local administration, all injured were taken to the Binaganj health center for primary treatment and assessment.

Officials confirmed that while there were no fatalities, some individuals suffered serious injuries. The administration assured that all necessary medical aid and care would be provided to the injured.

Four Seriously Injured Referred to District Hospital

Despite the medical resources available at the Binaganj health center, four individuals with severe injuries were referred to the district hospital for advanced and specialized treatment. Reports indicate that one of the referred individuals is a young boy whose condition is described as critical and is under close medical supervision.

The other three seriously injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the Binaganj Community Health Center, where their injuries are being managed, and their health is being continuously monitored. The remaining injured individuals, after receiving primary treatment and being found in stable condition, were discharged from the hospital.

Local administration demonstrated promptness in initiating relief and rescue operations immediately after the accident. The District Magistrate of Guna has taken cognizance of the incident and instructed relevant officials to ensure no negligence in the treatment of the injured.
