Life Disrupted by Continuous Rain in Bareilly; Administration Cancels Holidays

Bareilly, September 26, 2026 – Continuous, heavy rainfall in the Bareilly district over the past several days has severely impacted normal life. Following a warning of further heavy showers in the coming days from the Meteorological Department, the district administration has taken a significant step to effectively manage any emergency situation.

District Magistrate Avinash Singh, through an official order, has immediately halted all types of leaves for all working officials and employees in the district. This restriction will remain in effect for the next one week.

The District Magistrate clarified that due to the ongoing rains, emergency situations could arise at any time in the district, making the presence of all employees at their headquarters mandatory. All staff will be compulsorily present for disaster management.

The administration believes that in such critical circumstances, the presence of officers and employees from all departments at their posts is extremely crucial for dealing with potential accidents and conducting effective disaster management operations.

According to this order, no employee will be granted public holidays or any other type of leave. The order further specifies that if granting leave to an employee becomes necessary due to an extremely special or unavoidable circumstance, the concerned competent authority must provide prior information to the District Magistrate before approving the leave.

These directives have been implemented with immediate effect across all government offices in the district. The district administration is continuously monitoring the entire situation closely, and any negligence will not be tolerated. The disaster control room has also been activated on alert mode to ensure swift action on any emergency information.
