Thousands Participate in Grand Tiranga Yatra Led by Minister Rajput

Bhopal | August 10, 2026 – To instill respect for the national flag and patriotic spirit among the masses, Madhya Pradesh's Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection, Govind Singh Rajput, led a magnificent Tiranga Yatra from Bhopal. Thousands of party workers, youth, and citizens participated, carrying the tricolor and chanting slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram,' spreading a message of national unity and integrity.

The Tiranga Yatra was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in accordance with the call from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party's programs. Its primary objective is to further strengthen the sense of respect and pride for the national flag.

Minister Govind Singh Rajput personally carried the tricolor, moving forward and boosting the morale of the participants.

Respect and Responsibility Towards the Tricolor

During the yatra, Minister Govind Singh Rajput stated that the tricolor is not merely a flag but a symbol of India's honor, pride, and glory. He explained that its three colors represent courage (saffron), peace (white), and fertility (green), while the Ashoka Chakra in the center symbolizes progress and the path of dharma.

He emphasized that carrying the tricolor is not just about marking attendance at an event; it is a powerful medium to express one's respect and responsibility towards the nation. Mr. Rajput remembered the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters for the country's independence, stating that the free India they breathe today is a result of their valor.

He added that it is everyone's duty to connect the new generation with the nation's glorious history, the struggles of the freedom movement, and the importance of the national flag through the Tiranga Yatra.

Phased Tiranga Yatras in Surkhi Assembly

Minister Rajput announced that this campaign of patriotism will continue uninterrupted in the Surkhi Assembly constituency. Tiranga Yatras will be celebrated with great enthusiasm in various villages and mandals of the assembly.

He specifically mentioned that these yatras will be held in the Rahatgarh and Jaisinagar mandals on August 14, in the Bilhara mandal on August 11, and in the Sihora mandal on August 12. The core objective of this campaign is to ensure that the message of patriotism reaches every individual in society.

These Tiranga Yatras, passing through every village, will remind every section of society of their duties towards the country.

Continuity of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Campaign

Mr. Rajput also referred to the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' in 2022. The aim of this campaign was to inspire citizens to hoist the tricolor at their homes and to strengthen the spirit of respect and patriotism for the national flag through public participation.

He stated that Prime Minister Modi has consistently called upon people to participate in this campaign, connecting it with patriotism. Continuing this nationwide sentiment, the Bharatiya Janata Party is raising awareness among people about respecting the national flag, the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and the unity and integrity of the country through Tiranga Yatras.

Environment of Patriotism in Madhya Pradesh Under Chief Minister's Leadership

Food Minister Govind Singh Rajput praised the enthusiasm surrounding the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign and Tiranga Yatras in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. He mentioned that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has also appealed to citizens to enhance the dignity of Independence Day, remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and hoist the tricolor at their homes.

Minister Rajput expressed confidence that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is not only progressing rapidly on the path of development but also strongly preserving its glorious heritage and national values.
