Three Vehicle Thieves Arrested in Gohad, Stolen Motorcycles Recovered

Police Uncover Motorcycle Theft Ring
The Gohad Police Station in the Bhind district has successfully solved three motorcycle theft cases with the arrest of one accused. Authorities have recovered all three stolen motorcycles from the accused's possession.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Bhind, Suraj Kumar Verma, Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel, and SDOP Mahendra Kumar Gautam. Cases were registered under Sections 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Gohad Police Station.
Details of Recovered Vehicles and Cases
The registered cases, Crime Numbers 188/26, 190/26, and 191/26, pertain to the theft of motorcycles on specific dates and locations. These include the theft of MP 30 MN 5478 from the dargah in village Khitoli on August 20, 2026, MP 30 ZC 1374 from the court premises in Gohad on August 20, 2026, and MP 30 MW 3592 from the hospital in Gohad on August 24, 2026.
Investigation Leads to Arrest
Following the Superintendent of Police's directives, a team was formed under the leadership of the Station House Officer of Gohad, guided by the SDOP Gohad, to trace the unknown culprits. The investigation involved scrutinizing footage from 30-40 CCTV cameras installed around the crime scenes and on the outskirts of the town, alongside activating informants.
The police's diligence and the information provided by informants led to the apprehension of a suspicious individual at the bus stand on August 26, 2026. The suspect was brought to the police station for questioning.
Confession and Recovery
During intense interrogation at the station, the accused confessed to committing motorcycle thefts within the town. Following the accused's tip-off, the police successfully arrested him and recovered the three stolen motorcycles, identified by their registration numbers: MP 30 MN 5478, MP 30 ZC 1374, and MP 30 MW 3592.
