Tragic Drowning Incident During Ganesh Visarjan

An unfortunate and heartbreaking incident has emerged from the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh during the Ganesh idol immersion. Three teenagers, who had gone to immerse Ganesh idols in the Kwari River in Kaanwar village, were swept away in the deep waters. This tragic accident has cast a pall of mourning over the entire region, with the victim families inconsolable.

Rescue Operations Underway

Upon receiving information about the incident, the administration and SDRF teams immediately swung into action, launching a high-level search operation. The accident occurred while villagers were immersing Ganesh idols. The water level in the river was unexpectedly deep in some areas, and unable to gauge this, the three children ventured into the deep water and drowned.

Community Shock and MLA's Intervention

The news of three children drowning in the river sent shockwaves through the local community. While locals made immediate attempts to rescue them, the strong currents and depth of the water made it impossible. Upon learning of the incident, local MLA Narendra Singh Kushwah immediately arrived at Kaanwar village to assess the situation. He met with senior district and police administration officials to gather detailed information about the progress of the rescue efforts.

MLA's Instructions and Condolences

The MLA gave strict instructions to the rescue team, comprising SDRF teams and local divers, to make every possible effort in searching for the missing children and to accelerate the operation. He personally oversaw the rescue efforts to ensure no stone was left unturned.

Expressing his deep sorrow over this tragic incident, MLA Kushwah stated that he is extremely distressed by the news of the drowning of three innocent children. He offered condolences to the victim families and assured them that the administration stands with them with full sensitivity during this difficult time. He prayed to God for good news regarding the children soon and for strength for the bereaved families to bear this unbearable grief.

Ongoing Relief and Rescue Efforts

The MLA has instructed the administration to provide all possible assistance to the victim families. Currently, relief and rescue operations are underway on a war footing at the scene under the supervision of senior district administration officials. With the cooperation of local villagers, rescue team members are continuously searching for the drowned children in the river. Search operations are being conducted by venturing into the depths of the water to ensure the children can be safely retrieved.
