Teachers Unite Against TET Exam

Teachers across the country, particularly those with years of teaching experience, have united in protest against the upcoming Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Following a call from the National Teachers' Union, a crucial meeting was held at the District Headquarters' Independence Park to strategize the demand for the cancellation of this examination.

Mass Protest Planned at Jantar Mantar

During the meeting, it was unanimously decided that a large-scale protest will be held at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on August 30. Speakers at the meeting sharply criticized the policies of the Central and State governments, stating that a law intended to provide job security is, through the TET, aiming to dismiss teachers who have been serving for years.

Demand for Ordinance and Examination Boycott

Teachers believe this regulation is pushing their future towards uncertainty. They have appealed to the Central government to issue an ordinance with immediate effect to amend this rule, which they claim will help over 25 lakh teachers nationwide escape an uncertain environment. All teachers present pledged to completely boycott the examination and actively participate in the upcoming protest in Delhi.
