Cashless Medical Cards Distributed to Teachers

Balrampur | July 26, 2026: In a significant move for educators, cashless medical cards were distributed to teachers from various colleges in the district under the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme. The distribution ceremony took place at the MLK PG College auditorium, providing teachers access to free and quality healthcare treatment up to ₹5 lakh per year.

Scheme Launch and Dignitaries Present

The program was formally inaugurated with the lighting of a lamp and garlanding of the statue of Goddess Saraswati by dignitaries including Sadar MLA Paltu Ram, District Magistrate Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain, Nagar Palika Parishad Chairman Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh, District Panchayat President's Representative Shyam Manohar Tiwari, Maa Patshwari University Registrar Parmanand Singh, and Principal Prof. J.P. Pandey. A live broadcast of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launching the state-wide scheme from Agra was also shown, which was attentively viewed by the attendees.

Benefits and Objectives of the Scheme

District Magistrate Dr. Vipin Jain congratulated the beneficiary teachers, emphasizing the scheme's utility. He stated that this initiative by the state government aims to ensure the health and welfare of teachers and employees associated with the education sector. The scheme offers not only free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh but also accidental insurance cover of up to ₹1.5 crore and financial security.

MLK College Principal Prof. J.P. Pandey expressed gratitude to the guests and highlighted the scheme's importance. He noted that it reflects the state government's commitment to education, freeing teachers and their dependents from health-related concerns.
