Nationwide 'Swachhta Hi Seva' Campaign Launched

The nationwide 'Swachhta Hi Seva' campaign has been formally launched, with the objective of transforming cleanliness into a widespread public movement through citizen participation. This initiative is being jointly organized by the Union Ministries of Housing and Urban Affairs and Jal Shakti and will run from September 17 to October 17, 2026.

The theme for this year's campaign is 'Participation in Cleanliness, Clean India, Developed India'. This campaign aims to provide a new direction to cleanliness activities by ensuring the active involvement of the entire government and society.

Narmadapuram Gears Up for Cleanliness Drive

In Narmadapuram, under the able guidance of Nagar Palika President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer Vaibhav Deshmukh, various significant activities are being organized. Anurag Tiwari, the in-charge of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, stated that this campaign is a crucial initiative to promote public participation.

Revitalization of Public Spaces and Waste-to-Wealth Focus

During the campaign, the Nagar Palika will place special emphasis on revitalizing public spaces to make them clean and beautiful. Furthermore, there will be a focus on the transformation of targeted sanitation units. The administration firmly believes that cities can only be made clean and developed with public cooperation, and this campaign is a significant step in that direction.

Youth Engagement and 'Waste-to-Wealth' Initiative

Under the 'Swachhta Hi Seva' campaign, the participation of youth in cleanliness activities is being encouraged. Professors and a large number of female students from Home Science College have enthusiastically joined this campaign. Efforts are also being intensified to ensure the safety and dignity of sanitation workers.

The campaign also focuses on themes like Waste-to-Wealth, aiming to convert waste into useful resources. In a program organized in Narmadapuram, Nagar Palika officials, elected representatives, and students from Home Science College collectively took a pledge to spread public awareness about cleanliness and to continue it as a moral duty.

Commitment to a Clean and Developed India

This campaign will continue with full enthusiasm and public support for the next month, with the ultimate goal of building a clean and developed India. The initiative underscores the belief that active public participation is key to achieving national cleanliness goals.
