Call for Indoor Stadium at PG College Gains Momentum

Students at the Government Postgraduate College in Narsinghpur have taken a significant step by demanding the construction of an indoor stadium. On September 5th, college students submitted a memorandum to Union Cabinet Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, appealing for the expansion of sports facilities and the establishment of an indoor stadium on campus.

The students believe that sports are crucial for the all-round development of youth and that improved sports infrastructure will play a vital role. Through this memorandum, they emphasized the need for a safe and suitable environment for indoor sports like badminton and table tennis. Their argument is that an indoor stadium will ensure the continuation of sports activities even during adverse weather conditions, preventing any disruption to practice.

Ministerial Initiative to Foster Sports Talent

Taking cognizance of the students' demand, Cabinet Minister Prahlad Singh Patel has issued necessary instructions to the concerned departmental officials. According to the college's Media In-charge, Vaibhav Nema, both former State Minister Jalam Singh Patel and Cabinet Minister Prahlad Singh Patel are actively working to promote sports activities in the district.

This initiative is being viewed as a major step towards sports development at the Government Postgraduate College. The expansion of sports facilities will not only provide current students with opportunities to hone their skills but will also offer a new platform for local young athletes to showcase their talent. Expectations are high for the development of a sports culture in the region, alongside improvements in students' health and discipline.
