Extensive Traffic Diversions in Place for CM's Visit
In anticipation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's upcoming visit to Bareilly on October 13, 2026, the district administration and police department have implemented rigorous security and traffic management arrangements. To ensure smooth city operations during this VVIP visit, the Bareilly Police have devised a comprehensive traffic diversion plan, effective from 7 AM on October 13th until the conclusion of the event.
Under this plan, alternative routes have been designated for the movement of heavy vehicles, roadways buses, and school buses. As per the new advisory issued by the police, the entry of heavy vehicles into the city will be completely prohibited from 7 AM on October 13th. No heavy vehicle will be allowed into the city from entry points such as Parsakheda Road No. 1, Vilwa Bridge, Lalpur Cut, Villayadham, Navadiya Jhada, Transport Nagar, Ramganga Tiraha, and Bukhara Mod.
Heavy vehicles traveling from Delhi and Rampur towards Budaun will need to use the route via Jhumka Tiraha, Bade Bypass, Vilwa, Villayadham, Faridpur, Fatehganj Purvi, Dataganj, Deochara, and Bhamora. Similarly, the same alternative route has been established for vehicles traveling from Nainital and Pilibhit Road towards Budaun.
The objective behind these restrictions is to mitigate traffic congestion within the city and ensure an unimpeded passage for the VVIP convoy. Heavy vehicles are instructed to adhere to these designated alternative routes, facilitating their travel to their destinations without passing through the central parts of the city.
Significant Changes to Roadways Bus Operations
Due to the Chief Minister's visit, no buses will operate from the Old Roadways Bus Stand (also known as Novelty) from 7 AM on October 13th. All roadways buses will operate exclusively from the Satellite Bus Stand during this period.
Buses arriving in Bareilly from Delhi and Rampur will reach the Satellite Bus Stand via Jhumka Tiraha, Mini Bypass, Karmachari Nagar, Izzatnagar Tiraha, IVRI Road, Adityanath Chowk, Delapir Tiraha, 100 Foota Marg, and Suresh Sharma Nagar. Buses arriving from Pilibhit will be routed via Villayadham, Barrier-2, and the 100 Foota Purvi Marg to reach the Satellite Bus Stand.
These changes are particularly relevant for passengers traveling to Bareilly from these cities. The closure of the old bus stand will reduce traffic pressure in that specific area, while arrangements have been made to handle the anticipated increased crowd at the Satellite Bus Stand.
Special Instructions and Restrictions for School Buses
In light of the VVIP event, special attention has been paid to the movement of school buses. The operation of school buses will be completely restricted around prominent areas such as Chaupala Chauraha, Chauki Chauraha, Kachahri Tiraha, Circuit House Chauraha, Patel Chowk, and Gandhi Udyan.
Traffic police personnel will be deployed to ensure strict adherence to security protocols in these sensitive zones. This restriction will be in effect from 7 AM until the event concludes. The aim of this arrangement is to keep vehicles associated with educational institutions away from the VVIP's route, thereby preventing any disorder or security lapses.
School management and parents are expected to comply with this directive and consider alternative arrangements for children's travel. They are advised to plan accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
Appeal for Cooperation from the Public
The Bareilly Police have appealed to all citizens to strictly adhere to the issued diversion rules and avoid traveling on restricted routes under any circumstances. The administration also advises travelers to obtain detailed information on new routes and timetables from the respective bus stands before commencing their journey to prevent any travel disruptions.
Full cooperation from citizens is expected to maintain smooth traffic flow in the city. This entire traffic diversion plan has been primarily prepared with the objective of prioritizing VVIP security standards while ensuring the convenience of the general public. Traffic police and administrative officials will ensure the effective implementation of the diversion plan and prompt resolution of any potential issues.
Citizens are requested to remain patient and contribute to maintaining security and order. They are urged to cooperate in ensuring the smooth running of all arrangements during the Chief Minister's visit to Bareilly.
Special Arrangements for Emergency Services
It is important to note that despite these strict VVIP security measures, special arrangements have been made to keep routes open for emergency services such as ambulances, fire brigades, and other essential services. These vehicles will be given priority as needed to ensure timely assistance in any emergency situation.
While general traffic will be fully restricted, coordination has been established between local police and relevant departments to facilitate the movement of emergency vehicles. City residents are also expected to cooperate in maintaining order, understanding any inconvenience, to ensure that all arrangements proceed smoothly during the Chief Minister's visit to Bareilly.
