Administration Takes a Firm Stance on Development Irregularities
The district administration in Guna has adopted a strict approach towards irregularities and rule violations in colony development. Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal expressed deep displeasure over the lack of basic facilities and disregard for prescribed norms by colonizers.
He has directed that stringent action will be taken against colonizers who have developed colonies without proper permissions and essential facilities. During a meeting, the Collector voiced dissatisfaction over the absence of colonizers and has called for a follow-up meeting on Wednesday to review pending cases. He made it clear that those violating the rules will not be spared.
Special Investigation Team Given Strict Mandate
Collector Kanyal has constituted a special investigation team and ordered them to thoroughly examine all land documents related to colonies, permissions obtained from Town and Country Planning (TCP), provisions of the RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) Act, and building construction permits. He expressed concern that many citizens are left without roads, electricity, and other basic amenities after purchasing plots, leading to significant inconvenience.
Incentives for Compliance, Action for Violations
The administration will now prepare a detailed list of colonies violating these rules. The Collector emphasized that builders operating according to prescribed rules will be encouraged. Conversely, strict action will be ensured against those circumventing the rules, as per the law. Various court cases and judicial decisions were also discussed in detail during this meeting.
Citizens Urged to Exercise Caution
The Collector appealed to the general public to thoroughly verify all necessary government permissions and available facilities before purchasing a plot in any colony. He also stated that if any builder fails to provide promised facilities, affected citizens should file their complaints with the administration without delay, enabling timely and appropriate legal action. The primary objective of the administration is to ensure the complete protection of citizens' interests during urban development.
