Monsoon Season Amplifies Stray Cattle Problem

Narmadapuram city is once again grappling with a severe problem of stray cattle, particularly bulls, with the onset of the monsoon season. These animals, roaming freely on the roads, not only disrupt traffic but also pose a threat to public life.

Haka Dal Launches Special Operation

In response to this persistent issue, the municipal corporation's Haka Dal conducted a special operation in the Rasulia area on Thursday. During this drive, they successfully dispersed 65 bulls, driving them out of the city limits.

This action was carried out under the directives of Municipal President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer Vaibhav Deshmukh. Gagan Soni, the Haka Dal in-charge, stated that the incidents of these animals appearing on the roads increase during the monsoon, leading to a higher risk of accidents.

Efforts to Regulate Stray Animals

Using tractors and trolleys, the Haka Dal transported the 65 bulls to a location far from the city's boundaries before releasing them. During the operation, cattle owners were urged to keep their animals tethered at home during the rainy days.

The municipality emphasized that allowing cattle to roam on roads or in open spaces leads to them gathering in various parts of the city, thereby affecting traffic flow. The congregation of stray animals on roads during the monsoon is a common problem, often exacerbated by muddy conditions and waterlogging, causing significant inconvenience to motorists.

Continued Efforts and Public Appeal

This recent action is expected to provide some relief from the menace for the time being. Gagan Soni confirmed that such campaigns will continue in the future, with the administration's objective being to keep the city free from stray cattle to ensure safe and smooth traffic for citizens.

He appealed to cattle owners to be responsible for their animals and prevent them from wandering in public places. The municipality remains committed to this cause and seeks cooperation from the citizens. Such actions not only help in streamlining traffic on the roads but also contribute to creating a safer environment for the animals themselves.
