Sterling & Wilson Wins ₹1,400-Crore Solar EPC Order From Adani Green at Khavda Mega Park

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWREL) has secured a major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth approximately ₹1,381 crore from Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) for large-scale solar development in Gujarat, the company announced in a stock exchange filing on Monday.

The order covers Balance of System (BOS) work for three solar power projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park, one of the world’s largest clean-energy clusters currently under rapid expansion in the Kutch region.

First-Ever Partnership With Adani Green

SWREL said this marks its first purchase order from AGEL, involving the supply of components, field services and project execution support.
The company is already implementing 6 GW of renewable capacity in the Khavda region, with 5 GW expected to be completed within the current financial year.

The new 1 GW contract further consolidates SWREL’s strong presence in Gujarat, one of India’s most active renewable energy markets.

A Strategic Five-Year Collaboration

Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO of the Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, described the deal as a milestone for the company.

He said the newly signed five-year strategic partnership framework with Adani Green strengthens SWREL’s position as a leading EPC provider in India’s fast-growing solar sector.

With this order, SWREL’s order inflow for the fiscal year has crossed ₹6,450 crore, marking one of its strongest years of project acquisitions.
