Public Hearing and Grievance Redressal

Smt. Janaknandini, a member of the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission, participated in various programs aimed at the welfare of women and girls in the Balrampur district. During her one-day visit, she heard women's complaints at the Utraula tehsil auditorium and instructed officials to conduct fair investigations.

In total, seven cases were presented during the public hearing held at the tehsil auditorium, with most relating to women's harassment and their rights. The member listened to all matters with seriousness and directed the concerned officials to ensure timely and effective resolution. She clarified that any negligence in cases involving women would not be tolerated and that prompt justice would be ensured for victimized women.

'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' Initiative and Health Camp

Additionally, at the District Women's Hospital, she honored newborn girls under the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter) scheme by presenting them with baby kits, sweets, and congratulatory letters. Member Janaknandini emphasized the importance of girls' education and safety, calling the birth of a girl child a matter of pride for society.

She stated that it is the duty of every citizen to provide daughters with equal opportunities and quality education. She stressed the need to ensure that eligible families receive the benefits of various government schemes being run for the empowerment of girls. At this event, she also highlighted the importance of maternal and child health, nutrition, regular check-ups, and vaccinations. Officials were instructed to connect eligible women with these schemes.
