Tragic Road Accident Claims 11 Cows

In a deeply tragic road accident late last night near the Chintanharan area of Guna city, a speeding truck crushed 11 cows that were resting on the roadside. All the cows died on the spot, sparking immense outrage among local residents.

Villagers Protest, Block National Highway

In protest against the horrific incident, enraged villagers have staged a chakka jam (road blockade) on the national highway, bringing traffic to a complete standstill. Eyewitnesses reported that several cows were sitting along and in the middle of the road on the Chintanharan road during the night when an uncontrolled, high-speed truck struck them.

The scene at the accident site was described as deeply distressing, highlighting the severity of the crash. Upon hearing the news, a large number of villagers and animal welfare activists gathered at the location.

Demands for Rehabilitation and Justice

Distraught by the painful deaths of the voiceless animals, the protestors immediately blocked the main road, leading to long queues of vehicles. Local police and administrative officials arrived at the scene upon receiving information about the incident and attempted to pacify the demonstrating villagers.

The protestors presented their key demands to the administration, calling for concrete and permanent measures for the safe rehabilitation of stray cattle roaming on the roads. They insisted that these cows be systematically relocated to gaushalas (cow shelters) or secure facilities to prevent them from becoming victims of road accidents.

Additionally, villagers demanded the immediate arrest of the truck driver responsible for the incident and stringent legal action against him. They also suggested the installation of speed breakers and regular checking points on main roads to curb speeding vehicles.

The police have registered an FIR against the unidentified truck driver and are actively searching for the accused.
