The Cliff News | Balrampur | October 24, 2026

In compliance with the directives of the Election Commission of India, a special voter registration and awareness campaign is being conducted across Balrampur District. This initiative aims to ensure maximum participation in the democratic process by reaching out to all eligible citizens.

Special Campaign Day Observed Across All Polling Centers

On October 24, a special campaign day was observed at all 1805 polling centers in the district. During this event, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) specifically focused on identifying and assisting young individuals and women who are eligible to vote for the first time. The priority was to facilitate the completion of Form-6 for their inclusion in the electoral roll.

District Magistrate Reviews Campaign Progress

District Magistrate and District Election Officer Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain conducted surprise inspections of various polling centers in the 291-Tulsipur Assembly constituency to assess the campaign's progress and arrangements. He visited booths 268 to 273 at the Composite School Kanya Maharajganj Tarai and instructed BLOs to identify eligible citizens whose names are not yet on the voter list.

Emphasis on Registration of Young and Women Voters

Subsequently, the District Magistrate inspected booths 276 to 280 at the Composite School Kauwapur. During this visit, he laid particular emphasis on the registration of young individuals turning 18 and women voters. Dr. Jain provided clear instructions to BLOs to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out of this registration process, stressing that participation in the democratic process is mandatory and being on the voter list is the primary requirement.

Objective: An Error-Free Voter List

The district administration has appealed to all citizens whose names are not yet registered to contact their respective BLOs and apply using Form-6. The primary objective of this campaign is to raise awareness among the youth about the electoral process and integrate them into the mainstream of democracy. The District Magistrate has directed all concerned officials to ensure the timely disposal of all received applications according to rules, thereby creating an error-free voter list.

Continuous review of applications received under the campaign is underway to ensure widespread access to voting rights. The ultimate goal of this special drive is to prepare an accurate and comprehensive voter list for the upcoming elections.
