Special Train for Raksha Bandhan

In a move to enhance passenger convenience during the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival, Western Central Railway has announced the operation of a special unreserved train service between Sawai Madhopur and Durgapura. This initiative aims to accommodate the anticipated surge in passenger numbers during the festive season.

The special train, operating under numbers 05494/05493, will make a total of 11 trips each way, connecting Sawai Madhopur to Durgapura and vice versa. This decision is expected to significantly ease travel for passengers during the peak festive days.

Train Schedule and Route

Train No. 05494, Sawai Madhopur-Durgapura Special, will depart daily from Sawai Madhopur at 20:50 hrs starting August 28, 2026, and concluding on September 7, 2026. The train will halt at stations including Chauth Ka Barwara (21:23 hrs), Bansthali Niwai (22:18 hrs), and Sanganer (23:40 hrs), before arriving at Durgapura at 00:25 hrs the following day.

Conversely, Train No. 05493, Durgapura-Sawai Madhopur Special, will commence its service daily from Durgapura at 02:30 hrs starting August 29, 2026, and ending on September 8, 2026. After making stops at Sanganer (02:38 hrs), Bansthali Niwai (03:14 hrs), and Chauth Ka Barwara (03:58 hrs), it will reach Sawai Madhopur at 05:20 hrs.
