Bumrah vs. Sooryavanshi: A Battle of Titans

In the second over, Sooryavanshi faced Bumrah. The first delivery, a rare miss from Bumrah, was smashed for a six over wide long-on.

He followed this with another six, pulling a short delivery deep into the stands beyond backward square leg.

The over ended with two dot balls, but Sooryavanshi had already made his mark.

Early Preparations Paid Off

Sooryavanshi was eventually dismissed in the fifth over by Shardul Thakur for 39 off 13 balls, including four fours and five sixes.

"It didn't feel like much, sir. I was just trying to focus on the ball, rather than the bowler. I was a bit nervous, because such a big bowler was in front of me. But I tried to back my own game and play the ball instead of the game,"

he said to RR's social media handle.

He revealed that extra drills the day before the match helped him prepare for Bumrah's pace.

Rajasthan Royals' Dominant Victory

Besides Sooryavanshi's fireworks, Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed an unbeaten 77* off 32 balls, helping RR reach 150/3 in 11 overs.

In response, MI were restricted to 123/9 in 11 overs, leading to a 27-run victory for Rajasthan Royals.

"In the last two innings, I have been getting out after playing good shots... I feel like if I had played the whole innings today, the score would have been much bigger,"

Sooryavanshi added.
