Sidi: 22 Nursing Students Allocated to Under-Construction College; CBI Probe Demanded

Serious Questions Raised Over Nursing College Admissions in Sidhi

The Cliff News | September 7, 2026 Serious questions have once again surfaced regarding the accreditation and operation of nursing colleges in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. The Ayushman College of Nursing and Paramedical College, located in Bhadaura in the Kusmi tehsil, is accused of admitting a total of 22 students – 15 for GNM and 7 for B.Sc. Nursing – to a college whose building and very existence are reportedly in doubt.

The student organization NSUI has raised significant questions about the role of both the college management and officials from the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (MPNRC). They have demanded an impartial investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Student Body Alleges Irregularities, Demands CBI Probe

“This itself raises a big question: how was a college, whose building is still under construction and whose existence is questionable, granted accreditation for 120 seats, and then how was the allocation of 22 students possible?”

Ravi Parmar, State Vice President of NSUI, alleged that the admission process for 22 students raises serious concerns. He questioned whether any physical verification of the college was conducted before student allocation. If verification occurred, he asked if the building, laboratories, library, essential equipment, faculty, and clinical training facilities were actually present.

Parmar further questioned the basis for allocating students to a college that lacked these fundamental facilities. He asserted that thousands of nursing students in Madhya Pradesh face an uncertain future due to such colleges, as their examinations are not being conducted and results are not being released.

Questions Swirl Around MP MP's Family Involvement

Ravi Parmar has also linked the alleged scam to the family of the BJP MP from Sidhi, Dr. Rajesh Mishra, raising doubts about the involvement of his son Anup Mishra and daughter-in-law Beena Mishra. He accused members of the MP's family and others of being involved in the college's operations and management.

He emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the entire process of accrediting a 'ghost' college with an under-construction building and subsequently allocating students. Parmar stated that the government's permission for such colleges to operate appears to be a conspiracy to jeopardize the future of students.

Nurses' Council Functionality Under Scrutiny

The NSUI State Vice President has not only targeted the college management but also brought the functioning of the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council officials under scrutiny. He demanded stringent action against the concerned officials and college operators if rules were disregarded due to political influence, thereby compromising students' futures.

In this entire matter, NSUI has urged the CBI to conduct an impartial investigation into the college's accreditation, its building, faculty, documents, and the student allocation process. They have also called for the exposure of the roles played by individuals associated with the MP's family.

This case once again casts a dark shadow over the quality of nursing education and the functioning of regulatory bodies in Madhya Pradesh.
