Shraddha Kapoor Shares Health Update After Injury on the Set of ‘Eetha’; Confirms Rahul Mody’s Next Film

Shraddha Kapoor, who recently injured herself while shooting for her upcoming film Eetha, has finally shared a reassuring update with fans. The actress suffered a fractured toe and muscle tear while performing an intense Lavani dance sequence for the film.

Despite the painful injury, Shraddha kept her trademark humour intact during a fan Q&A session. When a fan asked how she was handling the discomfort, she jokingly replied, “Terminator ki tarah ghoom rahi hoon. Muscle tear hai. Theek ho jaayega. Bas thoda rest karna hai but I’ll be absolutely fine.” She even showed her injured foot on camera, reassuring fans that she is recovering well. The video quickly went viral, with fans flooding social media with love and get-well-soon messages.

How the Injury Happened

Shraddha began filming Eetha earlier this month near Nashik. According to reports, she was performing Lavani — the folk dance form popularized by Vithabai Narayangaonkar — when she lost her balance due to the fast-paced choreography. Wearing a traditional Nauvari saree and heavy jewellery, Shraddha had to execute quick steps to Ajay–Atul’s dholki-driven composition.

For the role, Shraddha has reportedly gained over 15 kilos to resemble a young Vithabai. During one fast step, she accidentally put excessive weight on her left foot, leading to the fracture.

Though director Laxman Utekar immediately halted shooting, Shraddha insisted they capture close-up shots instead to avoid wasting the day. After returning to Mumbai, she continued shooting emotional scenes on a Madh Island set, but the pain worsened, forcing the team to pause production. Filming is expected to resume in about two weeks, once she fully recovers.

More Fan Moments

During the interaction, a fan suggested re-releasing Aashiqui 2 in theatres, to which Shraddha responded enthusiastically, saying she would definitely propose the idea to the makers.

Shraddha also confirmed that she will star in her boyfriend Rahul Mody’s next film, further exciting fans eagerly waiting for her upcoming lineup.

With Eetha touted as one of the most challenging roles of her career, Shraddha’s dedication — even in pain — has left fans impressed and rooting for her speedy recovery.
