Service Commitment Campaign Launched in Damoh with Public Participation

'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' Initiated in Damoh
The Cliff News | Damoh | September 24, 2026 - The 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' has been launched to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's completion of 25 years in public life. This nationwide campaign will run from September 17 to October 17, with the primary objective of promoting public participation and executing various service activities on a large scale.
The campaign is actively underway in all 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh. During a program held in Hata, Damoh district, in-charge Minister Inder Singh Parmar highlighted the campaign's significance. He emphasized the active involvement of various segments of society, stating that efforts will be made to extend service activities to every citizen through this campaign.
Focus on Citizen Engagement and Service Activities
Minister of State (Independent Charge) Lakhan Patel detailed the nature of the service activities under the campaign. He mentioned that the journeys being undertaken from Vadnagar to Varanasi are a crucial part of this initiative, spreading the message of service to the common people as they pass through Madhya Pradesh.
The campaign prioritizes 25 types of service activities and 14 distinct programs. These include important themes such as sanitation, tree plantation, and citizen respect. The overarching goal is to strengthen the resolve for a 'Developed India' by 2047, as stated by MP Rahul Singh Lodhi.
Dialogue and Ground-Level Assessment
During the program in Hata, MLA Uma Devi Khatik engaged directly with beneficiaries, inquiring about the benefits of government schemes and their on-ground realities. This interaction aims to ensure the effective implementation and understanding of these initiatives.
Understanding Rural Culture and Journey's Progress
Ashutosh Tiwari, a member of the ongoing journey, shared that this is the eighth day of the campaign and one of its objectives is to understand rural culture. Members of the journey are collecting water from various rivers, which will be taken to Vadnagar in Gujarat on October 7.
Participation of youth, students, and farmers is being ensured in locally organized events, further bolstering the spirit of service. The campaign seeks to foster a sense of collective responsibility and action towards national development.
