Sebi Chief's Rebuke

Sebi Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey addressed the resignation of Atanu Chakraborty from HDFC Bank, emphasizing the need for independent directors to act responsibly.

The resignation led to a significant drop in HDFC Bank's stock price. The stock fell 11.3% between March 18 and March 23, closing at Rs 744 on BSE. In comparison, the BSE banking index fell 7.3% and the PSU bank index 5.2%.
