Suspicious Death in Dilapidated Building

A shocking incident unfolded in the Farrukhabad district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning. An elderly woman, reportedly around 50 years old, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a dilapidated building in the Panchal Ghat area. The deceased was engaged in scavenging work along with two companions.

According to information from the police, the woman resided with her two associates in the old and dilapidated structure located behind a primary school. On Tuesday evening, they reportedly cooked and ate a meal together, which included khichdi. When her companions woke up on Wednesday morning, they discovered the woman lying unconscious in the verandah.

Death Under Suspicious Circumstances, Cause Unknown

Harikesh, the in-charge of the Panchal Ghat outpost, arrived at the scene and conducted an initial investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that the death could be due to an illness or a bite from a poisonous insect. Local residents speculate that the woman might have been bitten by a venomous insect.

However, the actual cause of death will only be clarified after the post-mortem report is received. The police have completed the inquest proceedings for the body and sent it for post-mortem examination, awaiting the report. The police are investigating all possible angles of the case.

Companion Mysteriously Disappears, Police Search Underway

Adding to the mystery, when the police arrived at the scene, both of the deceased woman's companions, who had informed the authorities, were nowhere to be found. The police have now launched a search for these two individuals, whose disappearance has cast further shadows of suspicion over the incident.

Sources indicate that the deceased was a resident of the Khudaganj area in Farrukhabad district and had been living in the dilapidated building for a long time, earning her livelihood by scavenging. This incident has once again drawn attention to the pitiable lifestyle and insecurity faced by the most vulnerable sections of society in the city.
