Nivin Pauly’s horror comedy ‘Sarvam Maya’ has emerged as a commercial hit, crossing Rs 40 crore India net within its first nine days. The film’s steady audience turnout, especially for evening and night shows, highlights strong viewer engagement and marks a significant revival for Pauly after several underperforming films.

Day-wise growth and occupancy trends

According to early box office estimates by Sacnilk, Sarvam Maya earned around Rs 35.10 crore in its first eight days. Day 9 added approximately Rs 4.90 crore, taking the total to Rs 40 crore. Day 8 had recorded Rs 5.2 crore with an overall theatre occupancy of 48.57 percent.

The film maintained robust theatre occupancy across Malayalam shows, with morning shows at 30.84 percent, afternoon at 49.81 percent, evening at 60.59 percent, and night shows peaking at 64.66 percent.

Cast, crew, and audience response

Directed by Akhil Sathyan, the film stars Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Preity Mukhundhan, and Janardhanan. Critically, the film has been praised for its emotional depth, with Vineeth and Methil Devika delivering impactful cameo performances. ETimes noted that the dialogues resonate with younger audiences while the emotional beats hit hard, adding to the film’s overall appeal.

For the Malayalam film industry, Sarvam Maya represents a renewed box office confidence, showing that a well-executed horror-comedy can attract sustained footfall. Distributors and cinema owners report healthy evening and night shows, reflecting strong audience interest.
