Seoul, South Korea – January 2, 2026: Samsung Electronics has officially announced the global launch of The Freestyle+, its next-generation AI-powered portable projector, ahead of CES 2026 in Las Vegas. Designed for flexibility, portability and intelligent viewing, the new model builds upon the success of the original Freestyle with enhanced brightness, smarter AI features and improved usability across different environments.
The Freestyle+ retains its compact, minimalist design while delivering a more personalized entertainment experience for streaming, gaming and everyday viewing. Samsung says the projector is aimed at users who want a high-quality screen experience without being tied to a fixed space.
AI-Driven “Point and Play” Experience
At the heart of The Freestyle+ is AI OptiScreen, Samsung’s advanced AI-based screen optimization technology. This system automatically analyzes the surrounding environment and projection surface, allowing users to simply place the projector and start watching—no manual adjustments required.
Key AI OptiScreen features include:
3D Auto Keystone: Automatically corrects image distortion, even on uneven or angled surfaces such as corners, curtains or textured walls
Real-Time Focus: Continuously adjusts focus during movement or rotation to maintain sharp and stable visuals
Screen Fit: Automatically aligns the image when used with a compatible projector screen accessory
Wall Calibration: Detects wall color and surface patterns to minimize visual distortion and improve color accuracy
Vision AI Companion and Smarter Interaction
The Freestyle+ is also powered by Vision AI Companion, Samsung’s personalized AI platform for screens. It integrates an enhanced version of Bixby along with AI services from global partners, enabling more natural, conversational interaction with content, settings and recommendations.
According to Samsung, this AI integration allows the projector to better adapt to both the user’s preferences and the viewing environment, delivering consistent picture quality wherever it’s used.
Samsung’s Vision for Adaptive Displays
“The Freestyle+ reflects Samsung’s vision to create displays that adapt naturally to how people live and move between spaces,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “By combining true portability with intelligent AI that optimizes both the viewing environment and the content itself, The Freestyle+ makes it easier to enjoy a high-quality experience wherever you are.”
With its enhanced AI capabilities and portable design, The Freestyle+ positions Samsung strongly in the growing market for smart, flexible display solutions ahead of CES 2026.
