This reveal, encompassing both the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the premium Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra in Wi-Fi and cellular variants, strongly indicates an official launch planned for the second half of 2026.

The appearance on the Google Play Console follows recent Bluetooth SIG certifications and various regional filings, solidifying the imminent arrival of these new high-end devices. This development confirms that Samsung is preparing to introduce two distinct flagship tiers within the Tab S12 lineup.

Model Numbers and Connectivity Variants Detailed

The Google Play Console entries provide a clear breakdown of model numbers and connectivity options for the upcoming tablets. For the Galaxy Tab S12+, the Wi-Fi-only model is identified by the codename “gts12pwifi” and model number SM-X840. Cellular 5G variants carry the codename “gts12p” with regional model designations including SM-X846B, SM-X846E, SM-X846N, and the US-specific SM-X848U, which was recently noted in FCC documentation.

Similarly, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra follows a consistent naming convention. Its Wi-Fi version is listed under the codename “gts12uwifi” with model number SM-X940. The 5G-enabled cellular models are designated by the codename “gts12u” and model numbers SM-X946B and SM-X946N, previously appearing in South Korean filings and India’s BIS registry.
