Salman Khan Unveils Clean-Shaven Look After Wrapping ‘Battle of Galwan’ Shoot

Superstar Salman Khan surprised fans on Saturday with a striking makeover, returning to his classic clean-shaven look just a day after completing the shoot of his upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan.

The actor, who had been sporting a thick moustache for several months for the film, ‘Bigg Boss’, and his Dabangg Tour shows, was spotted at Mumbai’s Kalina airport looking fresh and relaxed. Surrounded by heavy security, he greeted the paparazzi with a wave before entering the terminal.

End of a Gruelling Schedule

Salman recently wrapped a demanding 45-day shooting schedule in Ladakh, marking the end of months of back-to-back commitments. With the ‘Bigg Boss’ grand finale set for Sunday and his milestone 60th birthday coming up on December 27, fans are thrilled to see him in a lighter, refreshed phase.

A Glimpse of His Intense On-Screen Avatar

Just before completing the film, Salman shared a viral behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram. The picture showed him in full army combat gear — older camouflage patterns, insignia and all — peeking from behind a clapperboard reading “Scene 86 Close Up Shot 1 Take 1.”
A visible facial wound hinted at the film’s gritty, battle-heavy narrative. He captioned it with #BattleOfGalwan.

About ‘Battle of Galwan’

Inspired by India’s Most Fearless 3, the film recreates the tense and violent 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops, known for its brutal, hand-to-hand combat. Salman leads the film in one of his most intense roles in recent years.

The cast also includes:

  • Chitrangda Singh

  • Zeyn Shaw

  • Heera Sohail

  • Abhilash Chaudhary

  • Vipin Bhardwaj

  • Ankur Bhatia

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia with music by Himesh Reshammiya, the film is reportedly aiming for a mid-2026 theatrical release, though an official date is yet to be announced.
