Robbery Details

Madhya Pradesh Police have successfully solved a robbery case involving over Rs 1 crore on National Highway-44, arresting seven accused within a mere 24 hours. The police also recovered the entire stolen property, amounting to approximately Rs 1 crore 11 lakh, which includes 320 grams of gold and 26 kilograms of silver.

The incident occurred on the evening of September 3 in the Bandol police station area, in front of the Geeta Warehouse in village BhongaKheda. Unidentified assailants intercepted and stopped a jewelry businessman on their motorcycles.

Modus Operandi and Loot

The perpetrators sprayed chili powder into the victim's eyes and threatened him with a knife. They then made off with approximately 26 kilograms of silver, 320 grams of gold jewelry, and cash, totaling Rs 1 crore 8 lakh.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Swift Investigation and Apprehension

Ten Teams Solve the Puzzle in 24 Hours

Considering the gravity of the situation, under the direction of Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana, Seoni Superintendent of Police Mr. Krishna Lalchandani immediately formed 10 special teams. These teams were dispatched in different directions to apprehend the accused and recover the stolen property.

The police teams meticulously analyzed footage from over 200 CCTV cameras across various locations including Seoni, Nagpur, Jabalpur, Kurai, Chhapara, and Lakhnadon. Based on this technical analysis and ground intelligence, the suspects were identified, and raids were conducted at their potential hideouts.

As a result of this swift and coordinated action by the police, all seven accused were arrested within 24 hours.

Property Recovery and Future Actions

The police have seized the entire stolen property, approximately Rs 1 crore 11 lakh, from the possession of the accused. This includes 320 grams of gold, 26 kilograms of silver, two motorcycles used in the commission of the crime, and seven mobile phones.
