District Magistrate Reviews Major Construction Projects

Farrukhabad | August 14, 2026 | The District Magistrate, Dr. Ankur Lathar, chaired an intensive review meeting at the Collectorate auditorium in Fatehgarh to assess the progress of construction projects costing 50 lakh rupees and above (excluding roads).

The primary objective of this meeting was to take stock of the current status of important projects being undertaken by various departments in the district and to ensure their smooth execution. During the meeting, the District Magistrate gathered detailed information on the progress, completion status, and obstacles faced in departmental and project-specific construction works from the concerned officials and representatives of implementing agencies.

Quality and Timeliness Emphasized

He issued clear directives that all construction works must be completed within the stipulated deadlines and with high quality. Any compromise on quality will not be tolerated.

The District Magistrate instructed officials to conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality and progress of the work. For projects where the pace of work is slow, directives were given to take necessary steps to accelerate them. He warned that accountability would be fixed for the concerned officer or agency if any negligence or undue delay is found at any level in the construction works.

Orders were also issued to complete pending works on a priority basis and to hand over completed projects to the respective departments as per rules.

Instructions for Transparency and Coordination

Implementing agencies were directed to submit regular progress reports of construction works and maintain complete transparency in the physical and financial progress of the works. Concerned departmental officials were expected to work in mutual coordination to ensure projects are completed within the specified time.

Expectations for Improvement in Other Schemes' Rankings

The meeting also stressed the need to improve the rankings of various schemes displayed on the CM Dashboard, such as the PM Suryaghar Scheme, 108 and 102 ambulance operations, District Hospital CT Machine functionality, egg production, cattle handover, fisheries production, and destitute women and old-age pensions.

The District Magistrate stated that if these rankings do not improve, action will be taken against the concerned officials. The review meeting was attended by Divisional Director Social Forestry Rajiv Kumar, District Development Officer Shyam Kumar Tiwari, Project Director DRDA Kapil Kumar, District Economics and Statistics Officer Virendra Kumar, along with officials from concerned departments, representatives of implementing agencies, and other relevant officers.
