Reliance, Meta Partner to Launch Enterprise AI Venture in India

Mumbai, October 26, 2025: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced the incorporation of Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited (REIL), a new joint venture with Facebook Overseas Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meta Platforms, Inc., to develop, market, and distribute enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) services in India.

REIL was initially incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Intelligence, with an investment of ₹2 crore for 2 million equity shares of ₹10 each. Under the amended joint venture agreement, REIL will become the JV entity, with Reliance holding 70% and Facebook 30%. Both parties have committed a combined initial investment of approximately ₹855 crore.

The venture will focus on enterprise-level AI solutions, reflecting Reliance’s growing push into next-generation digital technologies.

RIL emphasized that the transaction does not involve related parties, with no financial interest from promoters or group companies, and that no regulatory approvals were required for REIL’s incorporation.
