Red Fort Blast Probe: Delhi Police Detain 3, Including Two Al-Falah University Doctors; New FIRs Filed Against University

The investigation into the November 10 Red Fort car explosion, which killed 13 people, has intensified with Delhi Police detaining three individuals, including two doctors from Haryana’s Al-Falah University. An official confirmed the developments on Saturday.

University Under Legal Scrutiny

Alongside the detentions, Delhi Police’s Crime Branch registered two FIRs against Al-Falah University for cheating and forgery, following alleged accreditation irregularities flagged by the UGC and NAAC. Multiple agencies are now examining the activities of individuals associated with the university.

Late-Night Raids Across Haryana

Coordinated raids were carried out in Dhauj, Nuh, and nearby areas by Delhi Police’s Special Cell and the NIA.
The detained doctors — Mohammad and Mustakim — reportedly had links with Umar ul Nabi, the doctor who was identified as the driver of the car that exploded.

Sources revealed that one doctor was in Delhi on the day of the blast for an interview at AIIMS. Authorities are now verifying their statements and investigating their connection to Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie, arrested earlier in a related “white-collar terror module”.

Illegal Fertilizer Seller Detained

Another man, Dinesh alias Dabbu, was detained for illegally selling fertilizers. Investigators are probing whether he supplied NPK fertilizer, commonly used in explosives, to the suspects. The module is believed to have pooled ₹26 lakh to buy explosives, spending ₹3 lakh solely on NPK fertilizer.

Over 35 people have been questioned so far.

Metro Gates Reopened, Traffic Normalised

The Lal Qila metro station reopened gates 2 and 3, while gate 1 remains closed.
Traffic restrictions on Netaji Subhash Marg were lifted on Saturday afternoon, restoring normal movement.
