Farrukhabad, August 16, 2026 - A serious allegation of rape has surfaced in a village under the Rajepur police station area of Farrukhabad district. A 15-year-old minor is alleged to have been enticed, confined in a room, and subsequently raped.
The victim's grandmother has filed a complaint with the local police, seeking justice. According to information received, the incident reportedly occurred around 10 PM on August 15th.
Details of the Allegations
The grandmother's complaint states that a local woman invited her granddaughter to her house under the pretext of playing the 'dholak' (a type of drum). It is alleged that the teenager was then locked in a room where other individuals were also present.
The complaint further alleges that a young man forcibly raped the minor. The teenager was reportedly warned against revealing the incident to anyone and was threatened at gunpoint with a 'tamtamcha' (a type of country-made pistol).
According to the victim's grandmother, the minor was also allegedly given a substance to make her unconscious.
Victim Recovers and Reports Incident
The minor managed to return home late at night in a state of distress. Upon her return, her family found her in a disoriented state, and she subsequently recounted the entire incident to them.
The family also received corroborating information about the incident from neighbours.
Police Investigation Underway
Upon receiving the information, the family immediately alerted the police. The victim's grandmother filed a case against the accused at the Rajepur police station, demanding strict action.
The police have taken the matter seriously and have initiated an investigation. The Station House Officer stated that all allegations are being thoroughly investigated and action will be taken according to the law based on the findings.
The identity of the minor has been kept confidential. Police have stated that the investigation is proceeding based on the victim's complaint and a fair inquiry will be ensured as soon as possible.
