Rape Accused Arrested in Bamori, Sent to Judicial Custody

In a significant breakthrough for police efforts to curb crimes against women in the Bamori police station area of Guna district, an accused of rape and criminal intimidation has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. The operation was conducted under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Hritika Vasal and guided by Additional Superintendent of Police Prashant Singh Suman.

The incident came to light on October 13, 2026, when a 35-year-old married woman from village Bishanwada filed a report at the police station. The victim alleged that a person named Vijay Dhakad forcibly raped her and threatened to kill her husband and children.

Investigation and Arrest

Taking serious note of the complaint, the police immediately launched an investigation. A case was registered under Crime Number 231/26 at Bamori police station based on the victim's complaint, invoking sections 64(2)(m), 331(4), and 351(3) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). A special team was formed under the supervision of SDOP Hemant Pandey and led by Station House Officer Inspector Machal Singh Mandelia.

The police activated their informers and began searching for the accused, conducting raids on suspected locations. Acting on precise information received from an informant, the police team successfully apprehended the 39-year-old accused, Vijay, son of Mohan Singh Dhakad. Following the completion of legal formalities, the accused was presented before the Honorable Court, from where he has been sent to jail on judicial remand.

Other members of the police team, including Sub-Inspector Mokam Singh Bhilala, played a crucial role in this arrest and operation.
