FWICE's Action Against Ranveer Singh

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh. This follows his departure from the film 'Don 3' and alleged failure to respond to multiple notices from the organization.

The directive was announced after Farhan Akhtar reportedly filed a complaint against Singh on April 11th. Akhtar claimed Singh's exit, just three weeks before shooting, caused significant disruption.

Ranveer Singh's Response

Ranveer Singh's spokesperson has released a statement addressing the situation. The statement emphasizes Singh's respect for the film fraternity and the 'Don' franchise.

"Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect."

The spokesperson added that Singh chose to maintain silence and focus on his work. He also wishes the franchise continued success.

FWICE's Stance on Industry Rules

FWICE Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit outlined the sequence of events leading to the directive. He stated that three formal notices were sent to Ranveer Singh, but received no response until after the press conference was announced.

FWICE President BN Tiwari emphasized the broader impact of such disputes. He noted the financial losses suffered by junior artists and daily wage workers when a film project is abruptly halted.

"When a film is made, thousands of workers get employment. When a film suddenly stops, junior artists and daily wage workers also suffer financial losses,"

Tiwari stressed that even superstars must adhere to industry rules. He confirmed the immediate non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh.

The Complaint Process

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani were invited by FWICE to present their side of the story. Sidhwani attended in person, while Akhtar joined virtually from London.

FWICE maintains they followed due process in handling the complaint. They made efforts to hear from both parties before making their decision.

What to Watch Next

The film industry awaits further developments as FWICE's non-cooperation directive takes effect. It remains to be seen how this situation will impact Ranveer Singh's future projects and whether a resolution can be reached between all parties involved.
