Narmadapuram | August 23, 2026 - The premises of the Ramji Baba Samadhi Sthal in Narmadapuram witnessed a grand cleanliness campaign and tree plantation program organized by the Akhil Bhartiya Kayastha Samaj on Sunday. Members of the society, including its women and men, participated in a collective labor drive to clean the complex and planted saplings of various species, spreading a message of environmental conservation.
The event commenced with a thorough cleaning of the samadhi premises and the associated park. Society members enthusiastically contributed through Shramdaan (voluntary labor), organizing the complex and making it pristine. Following this, various saplings were planted, highlighting the importance of the environment.
Collective Responsibility for Cleanliness and Environmental Protection
Retired bank officer Vijay Verma stated at the occasion, "Cleanliness is not an individual's responsibility, but a collective duty of the entire society. It is our utmost obligation to keep public and religious places clean." He emphasized that a clean environment is the primary condition for a healthy life, urging everyone to resolve to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings.
Verma further added, "Planting trees is a moral responsibility of every individual, ensuring that the environment remains clean and green." He stressed that merely planting a tree is insufficient; regular care and protection are crucial. "This is a living commitment to fulfilling our responsibility towards nature and future generations," he noted.
Plantation to Increase Greenery, Public Awareness is Key
The program was attended by distinguished members including Suman Verma, Manju Srivastava, Sunil Rai, Rajendra Srivastava, Preeti Khare, Ashok Verma, Municipal Council Vice President Abhay Verma, Jyoti Verma, Radha Gupta, Mrs. Mamta Tiwari, Manoj Verma, Lalta Prasad, and CB Khare.
Social worker Sunil Rai highlighted the interrelationship between cleanliness and environmental protection during the event. He stated, "Just as we keep a place clean, it is equally important to enhance its greenery." Rai mentioned that the regular cleanliness drives organized by the society are increasing public awareness.
He stressed the need for such positive initiatives to continue and for more people to join them, ensuring a widespread impact.
