Ramayana's Costume Reveal at CinemaCon

New details emerged from CinemaCon 2026, offering fans a closer look at the upcoming film 'Ramayana: Part One'. The costumes of the lead characters were showcased, generating buzz online.

Photos revealed Ranbir Kapoor's Lord Rama in a blue dhoti, maroon and gold shawl, gold crown, and jewellery, mirroring his look from the trailer. Sai Pallavi's Sita was presented in a simple red saree with a necklace.

Yash's Ravana: A Striking Ensemble

Yash's Ravana costume, teased in earlier footage, was displayed on a mannequin. The costume is a striking black and intricate gold ensemble, designed as battle armour.

The details include an elaborate crown, gold breastplate, shoulder pads, arm bands, cuffs, and an elaborate dhoti. The costume hints at the powerful presence of Ravana in the film.

Yash and Ranbir: No Shared Scenes in Part One

In an interview with Fandango, Yash confirmed that he and Ranbir Kapoor do not share any scenes in 'Ramayana: Part One'.

"Interestingly we both have never come together on screen in this film. As you all know, it's a two-part film, so in the first part, as Ravana, I have my own kingdom and Rama has his own kingdom,"

he explained.

Mutual Respect and Aligned Visions

Despite the lack of shared screen time in Part One, Yash praised Ranbir Kapoor as a "fabulous actor."

"I think it is mutual respect which has played out and chemistry is like when you are out to do something phenomenal and it's as ambitious as 'Ramayana', all of us have a single agenda - to give our best to present this story."

He added,

"So, I think our visions are aligned, hence the chemistry between us not even an issue. We're just enjoying."

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, 'Ramayana' is planned as a two-part cinematic event.

'Ramayana: Part One' is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, with Part 2 following in Diwali 2027.
