The cinematic adaptation of the epic "Ramayana," starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, has demonstrated remarkable box office success, crossing the ₹200 crore mark worldwide in just two days of its theatrical release. The film has maintained strong momentum since its debut.

Despite the impressive global performance, the movie experienced a dip in its domestic collections on its second day. It earned ₹48.05 crore net in India on Friday, a decrease from its opening day figures. Industry tracker Sacnilk reported that these second-day earnings bring the total net collection in India to ₹112.90 crore.

Global and Domestic Box Office Performance

Globally, "Ramayana" has now accumulated ₹221.05 crore in gross collections, building on its opening worldwide earnings of ₹127.50 crore. The film saw a decline of over 25% in its domestic earnings on Friday.

The Hindi version of the film continues to be the primary driver of domestic collections, contributing ₹35.50 crore on its second day from 19,859 shows. The Kannada version followed with ₹5.15 crore from 904 shows, and the Telugu version earned ₹4.75 crore from 1,530 shows.

Further contributions came from the Tamil version, which collected ₹1.50 crore from 577 shows, and the Malayalam version, earning ₹1.15 crore from 446 shows. These figures highlight the film's widespread appeal across different regional markets in India.

Theatre Occupancy and Future Projections

In terms of theatre occupancy on the second day, the Hindi 3D version recorded a rate of 28.46%, while the 2D version registered 23.37% occupancy. These figures indicate a steady audience turnout.

"Ramayana" is envisioned as a grand two-part cinematic experience, with the combined budget for both installments reportedly set at an ambitious ₹4,000 crore. This substantial investment underscores the scale and expectations surrounding the epic adaptation.
