Joura, Morena, Madhya Pradesh | October 7, 2026 - The 111th birth anniversary of freedom fighter and former MLA Pandit Ramcharanlal Mishra was celebrated with a grand ceremony in Joura, Morena district, Madhya Pradesh. Organized by the Pandit Ramcharanlal Mishra Memorial Trust at Mishra Vatika, the event commemorated the freedom fighter's extensive legacy of social engagement and public service.
The ceremony also highlighted the 56-year journey of the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram, Joura, symbolizing the spread of Gandhian ideology in the region. Having made the Chambal region his karmabhumi after coming from Kerala, Dr. Rajagopal played a crucial role in resolving the dacoity problem and driving social change. He has previously been recognized with Japan's esteemed Niwano Peace Prize, acknowledging his global peace efforts.

The chief guest, former state president of RJD and former MLA from Jharkhand, Gautam Sagar Rana, paid tribute to Pandit Ramcharanlal Mishra, describing his political life as synonymous with service.
