Administrative Reshuffle Amidst Negligence Allegations
In the wake of significant administrative reshuffling at the Rajaura Police Station in Farrukhabad, the Superintendent of Police, Aarti Singh, has removed Station House Officer Rajiv Pandey from his post. This decision comes amid serious questions raised about the police's procedural handling of the case involving the death of court employee Amit Mishra.
As part of the changes, Darshan Singh Solanki, formerly the Station House Officer of Amritpur, has been appointed to lead the Rajaura Police Station. Meanwhile, the removed SHO, Rajiv Pandey, has been appointed as the new Station House Officer of Amritpur Police Station.
Sub-Inspector Suspended Over Negligence
In addition to the administrative changes, the police department has also held individuals accountable by suspending Sub-Inspector Ashutosh Kumar of the Rajaura Police Station. The suspension is due to alleged negligence in his duties, marking an effort to reinforce departmental reforms and maintain discipline.
Incident Details and Public Outcry
The case that triggered these actions involved an assault on court employee Amit Mishra by three unidentified youths on motorcycles on the night of September 27 in the Rajaura police station area. The delay of nearly ten days in registering a case led to widespread anger among the deceased's family and court staff, prompting public protests.
The recent actions by the Superintendent of Police are being viewed as a significant step towards departmental improvement. The local administration has directed that the investigation process be prioritized with the new appointments. The situation in the area is currently normal, with the new police team actively engaged in a thorough investigation of the case.
