Rajasthan Road Tragedy: 15 Devotees Killed in Phalodi Accident

At least 15 devotees were killed and two seriously injured on Sunday when a tempo traveller collided with a stalled trailer truck on the Bharat Mala Highway near Matoda village in Phalodi, Rajasthan.

According to Jodhpur Police Commissioner Om Prakash, the injured were first taken to Osian hospital for initial treatment and later shifted to Jodhpur for advanced care.
The victims, all residents of Sursagar area in Jodhpur, were returning home after visiting the Kolayat temple and Kapil Muni Ashram in Bikaner.

The bodies have been kept in the Osian government hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed grief over the tragedy and directed officials to provide all necessary relief and medical assistance to the affected families.
Former CM Ashok Gehlot also mourned the loss, saying he was “deeply saddened” and prayed for strength for the bereaved families and recovery of the injured.
