Transparent Soybean Procurement Mandated at Radhogarh Mandi

To enhance transparency and streamline the soybean procurement process at the Radhogarh Agricultural Produce Market, Sub-Divisional Revenue Officer (SDM) Amit Kumar Soni held a crucial review meeting with officials, traders, and farmers. The meeting, conducted as per the directives of Collector Kishor Kumar Kanyal, stressed strict adherence to guidelines issued by the Mandi Board Bhopal.

SDM Soni clarified that soybean purchases under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana will exclusively take place within the mandi premises. Furthermore, he mandated that all payments will be processed online on the same day, ensuring immediate receipt of funds by farmers. This arrangement is designed to bring complete transparency to the procurement process.

Stringent Quality Standards and Video Recording Enforced

To prevent irregularities, the SDM has made video recording of the entire procurement process mandatory. Additionally, strict quality standards have been established for soybeans, ensuring that the purchased produce does not exceed permissible limits for previous season's yield, excessive moisture, foreign matter, or broken grains. These quality checks will be rigorously conducted.

Help Desk Established for Farmer Convenience

Ensuring farmers do not face any inconvenience, instructions were given to solidify necessary arrangements within the mandi complex. These include provisions for clean drinking water, adequate lighting, accessible washrooms, and CCTV surveillance. A special help desk has been set up to address farmers' issues and complaints promptly and effectively. Tufan Singh has been appointed to manage this help desk, with a mandate to resolve all received complaints within 24 hours.

Suggestions Sought from Traders and Farmer Representatives

During the meeting, the SDM engaged in detailed discussions with traders and farmer representatives regarding potential obstacles in the effective implementation of the scheme and sought their suggestions. He instructed all concerned parties to exercise utmost vigilance during procurement, warning that violations of the scheme's provisions will be dealt with according to the law. The administration's objective is to ensure farmers' complete security and prevent any form of inconvenience.

The meeting was attended by Mandi Secretary Satish Karare, a large number of traders, mandi staff, and farmer representatives.
