PSG 6–3 Tottenham: Vitinha Hat-Trick Sinks Spurs in Champions League Thriller

Tottenham suffered another setback in Europe as they twice surrendered the lead in a chaotic 6–3 defeat to reigning champions PSG, with Vitinha stealing the show with a stunning hat-trick in Paris.

Spurs Start Strong — Kolo Muani & Richarlison Deliver

Under-pressure manager Thomas Frank fielded a youthful midfield pairing of Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, and the gamble initially paid off.
In the 35th minute, Bergvall released Gray, whose clever chipped cross found Randal Kolo Muani — on loan from PSG — and the Frenchman headed across goal for Richarlison to nod home.

PSG Hit Back in First-Half Added Time

Just when Spurs seemed in control, Vitinha launched a rocket from a short corner routine, the ball flying in off the underside of the bar to level the match at 1–1.

Tottenham Regain Lead… Briefly

Five minutes into the second half, Richarlison headed a corner into Gray’s path before a chaotic rebound allowed Kolo Muani to smash home and restore Spurs’ advantage.

But the lead lasted only three minutes.

Vitinha Takes Over

Vitinha cut inside and curled a superb left-footed effort into the far corner to make it 2–2, beginning PSG’s dominant spell.

PSG Punish Spurs Errors

A poor pass from Cristian Romero sparked PSG’s third.
Pape Matar Sarr was dispossessed, allowing Joao Neves to set up Fabian Ruiz, who swept home unmarked.

Soon after, a scramble from a PSG corner allowed Willian Pacho to poke in a fourth.

Kolo Muani Strikes Again — But PSG Seal It

Tottenham refused to fold. A high press from Rodrigo Bentancur allowed the ball to fall for Kolo Muani, who smashed in his second of the night to make it 4–3.

But more drama followed — and not in Spurs’ favour.

Vitinha’s shot struck Romero’s outstretched arm inside the box, leading to a penalty, which the Portuguese midfielder rifled home to complete his first-ever Champions League hat-trick.

Late Red Card

In stoppage time, Lucas Hernandez was sent off for elbowing former PSG player Xavi Simons, but the damage was already done.
