Students' Protest Against Paper Leaks Met with Alleged Lathicharge in Delhi

Following an alleged lathicharge on students protesting paper leaks in competitive exams at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, widespread outrage has been sparked. In Balrampur, a large number of activists under the banner of Ambedkar Vahini took to the streets on Thursday afternoon, raising slogans against the central and state governments.

The demonstrators decried the incident as an unfortunate attempt to suppress the democratic voice of students. They alleged that the continuous paper leaks are dimming the future of the nation's youth, yet the government has proven entirely ineffective in taking substantial action against the involved mafia. They condemned the forceful suppression of student voices as highly reprehensible.

Demands for Action Against Paper Leaks and Delhi Incident

During the protest, participants also chanted slogans against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and certain media organizations. In anticipation of potential untoward incidents, the administration had put in place stringent security measures, deploying a heavy police force. The protest, however, concluded peacefully.

Following the demonstration, protesters submitted a memorandum addressed to the President to administrative officials. The memorandum demanded strict action against the officials responsible for the Delhi lathicharge. It also called for swift action under stringent laws against paper leak mafias and the implementation of a transparent and fair examination system nationwide.

Warning of Escalating Protests

Ambedkar Vahini activists have warned the government that if concrete steps are not taken promptly and the demands of the students are continuously ignored, a widespread and intensified agitation will commence in Balrampur on this issue. They stated that they will not tolerate the jeopardizing of students' futures.

Among those participating in the protest were former MLA Jagaram Paswan, District Vice President Shafiullah Khan, Vijay Maurya, Sanjay Kumar, former President of the Women's Sabha Shabana Khan, Saddam Hussain, Aniruddh Yadav, Anand Kumar, Pappu Yadav, and Ganesh Kumar, along with a large number of other activists.
