Property Dealer Arrested with 11 Grams of MD Drugs in Bhopal
Bhopal Police have made a significant bust in their fight against drug trafficking, arresting a property dealer identified as Sandeep Singh, 40, originally from Karnal, Haryana. He was apprehended with 11 grams of MD drugs.
According to police, Singh was involved in smuggling MD drugs from Vadodara, Gujarat, and supplying them to youths in various areas of Bhopal. This operation falls under the police's 'Distance from Drugs is Necessary 2.0' campaign.
Interstate Drug Trafficking Uncovered
Acting on a tip-off about an MD drug dealer near Dashara Maidan, Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal, the police team successfully apprehended Sandeep Singh. A search revealed 10.83 grams of MD drugs, a mobile phone, and a scooty (registration number MP 04 YN 3185) in his possession, with an estimated value of approximately ₹3,50,000.
During interrogation, Singh revealed his background as a transporter in Dubai from 2021 to 2025. Upon returning to Bhopal, he began working as a property dealer in Mahinda Township, Bawadia Kalan. His fondness for clubs and bars led to him meeting youths who consumed narcotics, which he then exploited to source and supply drugs.
Targeting Youth for Profit
Singh was reportedly purchasing MD drugs from Vadodara at approximately ₹2,000 per gram and selling it in Bhopal for up to ₹10,000 per gram, making substantial profits. To evade law enforcement, he had recently rented a new house in Sector G, Ayodhya Nagar, a month prior, after leaving his previous rented flat in Bawadia Kalan.
He confessed to targeting young men and women in prominent clubs, selling them the drugs at high prices to maximize his profits. The police are currently gathering more information about the procurement and distribution network associated with the arrested individual and are coordinating with other states to dismantle the entire drug trafficking ring.

The successful operation was a result of the efforts of the police team led by Police Station Incharge Mahesh Lilhare of Ayodhya Nagar police station, under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ms. Mini Shukla and guidance from Assistant Commissioner of Police Ms. Divya Jhariya of MP Nagar division.
