Principal Suspended in Ghatavada Urination Incident Following Village Protests

Principal Removed After Urination Scandal Confirmed

In the wake of a disturbing incident at the Government High School in Ghatavada, Aron block, Guna district, the education department has suspended Principal Mulchand Kaushik. This action was taken after the incident, where a seventh-grade student was found to have mixed urine in other students' water bottles on August 17th, was confirmed.

An order issued by the District Education Officer on August 31st stated that following the investigation confirming the incident, Principal Kaushik has been transferred to the post of Principal at Government High School Taknera, Guna block, pending further orders. The decision came after widespread anger among villagers and parents over the school management's perceived lack of seriousness regarding the complaint.

Investigation and Public Pressure

The scandal came to light when several students noticed something amiss with their water bottles. The investigation was subsequently handed over to the Block Education Officer, Aron, whose report confirmed the act of mixing urine in the water. A show-cause notice was also issued to Principal Mulchand Kaushik.

Villagers and parents had protested, demanding the principal's removal and questioning his conduct. They approached the school and urged the administration for immediate action. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the Tehsildar, BEO, and other officials visited the village to record statements from the affected students, their families, and other relevant individuals.

Decision Prioritizes Student Welfare

The education department's decision has been made with a priority on student welfare. Given the confirmed investigation report and the sustained public pressure from the villagers, the department took this step. The Directorate of Public Instruction, Bhopal, the Collector of Guna, the CEO of the District Panchayat, the Joint Director of Public Instruction, Gwalior, and other relevant education officials have been notified of this action.

Following this suspension, villagers are now awaiting further action against other individuals responsible for the incident and the implementation of additional measures to ensure children's safety in the school.
