Preparations Intensify for Budhwa Mangal Fair at Dandraua Dham

BHIND, Madhya Pradesh – September 9, 2026: A high-level review meeting was convened at the renowned Siddha Peeth Dandraua Dham in Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, to finalize preparations for the historic Budhwa Mangal fair scheduled for September 22.

Presided over jointly by New and Renewable Energy Minister Rakesh Shukla and Mahamandaleshwar Mahant Ramdas Maharaj, the meeting extensively discussed arrangements for devotee convenience, security, and other essential provisions to ensure the fair's successful execution. Senior officials from the district administration and temple management finalized the action plan for the smooth conduct of the event.

Prioritizing Devotee Experience and Safety

Minister Rakesh Shukla emphasized the significance of the grand fair at Dandraua Dham on the auspicious occasion of Budhwa Mangal. He stated that facilitating easy darshan of Lord Dr. Hanuman for the millions of devotees arriving from far and wide is the administration's utmost priority.

“All arrangements must be completed on time so that devotees do not face any kind of difficulty,” stated Minister Shukla.

He issued clear directives to officials, including ensuring adequate arrangements for electricity and purified drinking water, establishing accessible routes for devotees' entry, and implementing robust barricading and an effective route plan for their safe exit after darshan, all prior to the commencement of the fair.

This year's fair is being organized with a focus on greater orderliness compared to previous years, with particular attention paid to crowd management and preparedness for emergency situations. Officials were instructed to establish an effective mechanism for the swift resolution of devotee complaints.

Enhanced Facilities and Security Measures

Additional Collector Rajan B. Nadia announced key decisions aimed at maintaining hygiene and security within the fair premises. No shops or stalls will be permitted in the temple's sanctum sanctorum and main complex to prevent overcrowding and ensure unhindered darshan for devotees.

Instructions were issued for the immediate cutting of bushes along the routes and the provision of tents, chairs, and improved lighting at various entry points of the fair to facilitate smooth movement for devotees. Adequate fire brigade personnel and sanitation staff will be deployed to effectively manage any emergency.

To accommodate the large influx of devotees, large LED screens will be installed at strategic locations within the temple complex, allowing devotees to view the sanctum sanctorum directly. This facility will be particularly beneficial for those unable to reach the main shrine due to crowds.

A comprehensive network of CCTV cameras will be established to monitor activities throughout the fair area, enabling prompt control of any untoward incidents or suspicious activities. Continuous surveillance will be maintained through these cameras.

Ensuring Health Services and Uninterrupted Power Supply

SDM Navneet Sharma assigned specific responsibilities to the health and electricity departments. Uninterrupted power supply for 24 hours must be ensured throughout the fair period, with no power cuts under any circumstances. Generators will be arranged to prevent any disruptions in power supply.

Prioritizing health facilities, an ambulance will be available at each of the three main gates, alongside a temporary medical facility staffed by a special team of female doctors and a dedicated control room. This facility will provide first aid and emergency medical services to devotees.

Additionally, tankers of purified drinking water and temporary toilets will be constructed at various points to address sanitation and health concerns. Regular checks will be conducted to ensure the quality of drinking water, and arrangements for the regular cleaning and maintenance of toilets will be in place.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Suraj Verma, SDOP Sanjay Kaucha, Tehsildar Manoj Dhakad, Janpad CEO Mehgaon Rajiv Mishra, former District Cooperative Bank President K.P. Singh Bhadauria, Block Education Officer Rajveer Sharma, Ram Baran Pujari, spokesperson for Dandraua Dham Jalaj Tripathi, Amit Dantre, along with senior officials from various departments and local representatives.

Administrative officials assured attendees that all fair-related arrangements would be completed within the stipulated deadlines, ensuring that the millions of devotees from across the state face no inconvenience and can have smooth darshan of their deity. Emphasis was also placed on establishing coordination among all departments.
